Rachel Spencer
Summer Camp Coordinator and Director - Curriculum Coordinator - Private Instruction

Rachel Spencer is in her second year at the Yale School of Drama earning her Masters in Acting. She will receive her MFA in May of 2010. She is also a Baker-Duncan Scholar in Drama from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX and graduated with a degree in Drama in May 2007. She is a three-time ATAC Globe Award winner for her roles in Trinity Stieren Theater main stage productions: supporting actress for Ilona in the musical She Loves Me, supporting actress for Christina in Dancing at Lughnasa, and lead actress for Reno in the musical Anything Goes, directed by Broadway performer and director Tony Parise. She has danced since the age of four and has been singing for even longer. She started acting at the age of six and has continued since! She loves working with children to bring out their sense of play in theater production and performance. Her focus has been musical theater and drama, and her training includes textual analyzation, actor's movement, dance, voice, and audition preparation. Her experience not only includes a wide range of lead roles in both collegiate and professional theater, but also includes teaching theater, directing, and working with children.  She is the co-founder and producer of the successful student-run Broadway Revue at Trinity University, increasing the musical theater tradition at the school. She has a passion for musical theater and looks forward to sharing her experience and training this summer to everyone at the camp!
